Port of Cardiff

Located on the north side of the Severn Estuary, connected to the rail network, and within easy reach of the M4 motorway, the Port of Cardiff has expertise in the handling of containers, steel, forest products, and dry and liquid bulks. ABP has invested significantly in the port of the past few years, modernising the port's infrastrucure and supplying customers with specialist storage solutions and handling equipment.

Dry bulks

Fresh produce

•Over 5,300 sq m of chilled, ambient, and frozen warehousing space with computerised stock-control

•State-of-the-art dockside, storage, and handling for all fresh produce and perishables

General cargo and forest products

•Transit and distribution shed capacity amounts nearly 40,000 sq m

•Open hard-standing storage of 12.3 ha, with a further 10.6 ha managed by independent terminal operator
Liquid bulks
•Extensive storage and dedicated handling facilities available for a variety of liquid bulk cargoes at three terminals

Steel and other metals 

•Steel warehousing with overhead gantry cranes and outdoor storage

•Accommodates both deep-sea and short-sea vessels

Passengers and cruises

•Three ISPS approved berths for cruise liner calls, less than one minute away from the centre of the Welsh capital and its world-class tourist attractions
